The river has its source at an underground lake at the Black Mountains and emerges at the surface from "llygad Loughor" which translates from the Welsh as "eye of the Loughor". The river flows past Ammanford, very near to where i live, we often take the dog for a walk along its banks.

This slow meandering river with its tree lined twists and turns, brings back memories of growing up in the area.

I would often get away from the "hustle and bustle" of life in general, by just spending time exploring these banks and the quiet tranquility that flowing water seams to instil.

Always a pleasant diversion when we take this walk, even more so when the weather is good.
